Reports To: Project Manager
Purpose
The Laborer position assists with trenchless pipeline rehabilitation projects. This role involves supporting field crews in the setup, operation, and cleanup of trenchless technology job sites, including UV CIPP lining, hydro excavation, and CCTV pipeline inspections. This position requires someone who is eager to learn, works well in a team, and is committed to safety and efficiency.
Essential Duties
- Assist with CIPP lining installations, hydro excavation, and pipe inspections
- Set up and break down job sites, including traffic control and safety barriers
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
- Clean and prepare work areas, ensuring proper maintenance of tools and vehicles
- Support equipment operators and technicians by handling hoses, mixing materials, and preparing liners
- Work in confined spaces, trenches, and manholes following all safety regulations
- Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines to ensure a secure work environment
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Assist in troubleshooting issues with trenchless technology equipment
- Work in various weather conditions and travel to job sites as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- Hard working and reliable
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work in confined spaces and outdoor environments.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
- Valid Driver License and clean driving record
- Ability to handle and resolve interpersonal conflict
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, stressful work environment
- Ability to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees
- Ability to travel extensively and work out of town on a weekly basis during the construction season.
Preferred
- Previous construction or general labor experience
- Valid CDL or willingness to obtain
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Confined Spaces Certification
- Experience in sewer rehabilitation, pipeline repair, or underground utilities
- Knowledge of CIPP, hydro excavation, or CCTV inspection
Physical Requirements
Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Ability to work in confined spaces.
