Medical Assistant

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Working as an MA at Upper West Side Dermatology will provide you with immediate exposure to all aspects of patient care at a private practice (no MA certification required). At UWS, you will work alongside all of our skilled dermatologists (from surgeons to pediatric specialists) and come face-to-face with dozens of patients a day. 

Your responsibilities include actively assisting during medical procedures such as skin surgeries, medical/cosmetic laser treatments, biopsies, and bacterial/fungal cultures. You will also be responsible for taking chart notes, adding prescriptions, and performing patient callbacks regarding biopsy/culture results. 

We welcome all compassionate, hard-working, and team-oriented candidates who are eager to pursue a career in healthcare. Many of our former MAs have gone on to be successful in medical school, PA school, nursing school, and graduate school. 

Qualifications: Relevant patient-facing experience or scribing experience preferred but not necessary. Must be able to commit 2 years minimum (not negotiable) and have availability to work at least 4 full week days ( 35-40 hour weekly shifts).  This position is not virtual, and we are not hiring seasonal employees.
