Who You Are & Keys to Success (the must-haves)

To be successful in this job, you will excel in five areas:

1. Project management: You call upon your organizational skills, attention to detail, and
time management skills to stay on top of multiple event planning timelines
simultaneously. You are comfortable working autonomously as part of a small team.

2. Problem solving & customer service: You are able to connect with event partners,
artists and scholars, volunteers, guests, and colleagues with respect and kindness. You
can maintain calm when brainstorming solutions to challenges as they arise.

3. Technology: You have prior experience using Google Suite and MS Office, and are
comfortable learning and using A/V technologies and fundraising database software.

4. Passion for language and culture: You believe that high-quality public programs
connecting people of all ages and backgrounds to the rich diversity of the Francophone
world promote lifelong learning and cultural understanding. You recognize the role of
race, gender, and other identities in shaping access to arts and culture and are driven to
create programming that uplifts historically marginalized voices and is welcoming to all.

5. Working proficiency in English and French: You are able to communicate in English
and French in person, over the phone, and via email on behalf of the organization.
Research savvy and experience with email marketing platforms are plusses, but are not
requirements.
