Weekend Children's Gymnastics & Movement Instructor

Storybook Wonder Activity Gym (SWAG) is seeking a dependable instructor to help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for young children and their families.  At SWAG, we foster Strength, Wonder, and Grit through movement, play, and positive coaching. 

Schedule: Primarily Saturdays, with occasional training sessions and special events.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with age-appropriate classes and activities for young children
• Create a welcoming and positive experience for children and their caregivers
• Build strong relationships with families through excellent customer service
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
• Assist with setup, movement, storage, and cleaning of athletic equipment
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Experience working with children ages 0 – 5 preferred but not required
• Prior gymnastics, cheer, dance, sports coaching, physical education, or related experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills and a family-first customer service mindset
• Dependable, professional, coachable, and team-oriented

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time while actively supervising and instructing children, with or without reasonable accommodation. 
• Ability to safely move and set up gymnastics and play equipment with or without reasonable accommodation. 
• Comfortable working in an active, fast-paced environment

Training & Certification

• SWAG provides paid training, class preparation time, and professional development opportunities
• Team members will receive support in learning USA Gymnastics recreational coaching methods and age-appropriate instruction techniques
• USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Training is required
• Background check required
• All required training, certification, and class preparation time is paid.

Starting pay: $12–$18 per hour, depending on experience and certifications.
