6th Grade Middle School Math Teacher

A full time, tenure track Middle School Math teacher position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, effective 9/1/2026. 

The Guttenberg School District is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate educator with a love for mathematics to join our school community. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

● Plan and deliver effective instruction in math. 

● Develop lesson plans aligned with the NJSLS and district curriculum. 

● Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs of students. 

● Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, educational technologies, and assessment methods to enhance student learning. 

● Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate and timely grading records. 

● Foster a classroom environment that encourages respect, responsibility, collaboration, and active participation. 

● Participate in yearly professional development in an effort to meet district-approved goals and objectives. 

● Collaborate with a math grade level partner to align pacing and scope and sequence. 

Qualifications • Required: Middle School with Subject-Matter Specialization: Mathematics in Grades 5-8 Endorsement Code 1102 • Classroom experience preferred. • Bilingual speaking abilities are a plus.
