Part-Time Yoga Instructor

Whizara is looking for enthusiastic Afterschool Program Yoga Instructors for planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate yoga sessions to students at school sites. The instructor will create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment that promotes physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement yoga lessons that are suitable for children of various ages and skill levels
- Incorporate elements of fun and creativity to keep students engaged and motivated
- Adapt sessions based on the needs and abilities of the children
- Set safety guidelines and ensure a safe environment for all participants
- Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being
- Address any behavioral issues in a constructive manner
- Communicate effectively with students, parents and program staff
- Provide feedback on students' progress and participation
- Maintain accurate attendance records for all yoga sessions
- Assist with setup and cleanup of the yoga space before and after sessions
Qualifications:
- Responsible, reliable, and punctual with previous experience teaching yoga to ages 5-18
- Experience working in before and afterschool programs or similar settings is a plus
- Certified Yoga Instructor with a focus on children's yoga is a plus
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and ability to create age-appropriate yoga sessions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a group of children effectively and with patience
- Passionate about promoting health and wellness among children
