After-School Substitute Teacher
After-school substitute teachers play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for students once the regular school day ends.
The Education Team is looking for after-school staff to assist at programs throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area. Assignments range between Downtown LA → Hollywood → Pacoima/Sun Valley → Carson. Our after-school teachers support students in grades TK–8.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supervising and ensuring the safety of students
- Assisting with or leading enrichment activities such as art, sports, STEM, and homework help
- Supporting program routines and helping maintain structure
- Encouraging positive behavior and participation
- Communicating effectively with site coordinators and program staff
Schedule:
Part-time, M-F - YOU CHOOSE WHICH DAYS!
- 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM on at least two regular days per week
Requirements for After-School Substitute Teachers:
- HS Diploma /48 Semester Units or an AA/BA degree
- Ability to pass a Live Scan
- Negative TB required prior to hire
- Experience working with children preferred, but not required
