About Skarmy
What if anyone could turn an idea into a real company?
We are Skarmy. We are building the AI company builder: a platform that helps people go from idea to product, brand, launch, customers, operations, and growth.
We are a lean team in San Francisco, working together in person every day.
Backed by Pareto Holdings and early-stage angels.
The Role
The best AI products make powerful systems feel simple.
This is not a role where you polish isolated screens, move pixels around, and wait for someone to hand you a design brief.
You will shape how Skarmy works and feels from the first idea to the final product.
You are half product designer, half systems thinker. You move quickly, prototype constantly, and turn complex agent workflows into clear, intuitive experiences.
What You Will Own
End-to-end product design: Design core Skarmy experiences, including onboarding, dashboards, workflows, approvals, task routing, company pages, agent interfaces, and founder-facing tools.
AI interaction design: Define how users give agents goals, review plans, understand progress, approve actions, handle uncertainty, and stay in control.
User experience: Map user journeys, identify friction, simplify complicated workflows, and make company building feel straightforward for non-technical users.
Interface design: Create polished, responsive interfaces with strong hierarchy, typography, spacing, color, motion, and interaction details.
Prototyping: Turn rough ideas into wireframes and interactive prototypes quickly. Test different directions before committing to a solution.
Design systems: Build and evolve reusable components, patterns, and standards that keep the product consistent as Skarmy grows.
User research: Talk to founders and early users, observe how they use the product, identify what confuses them, and turn those insights into better designs.
Product collaboration: Work directly with founders and engineers from concept through implementation. Review the shipped product and refine it until it feels right.
Shipping velocity: Design and ship meaningful product improvements every week. Not hypothetical case studies. Not fake intern work. Real experiences used by real users.
What We Are Looking For
You have designed real things before: apps, websites, tools, prototypes, design systems, side projects, or something unusual that people can actually use.
You have a strong portfolio that demonstrates both visual craft and product thinking. We want to understand why you made each decision, not just see polished screens.
You can simplify complexity. Skarmy coordinates agents, tasks, approvals, tools, and company information. Your job is to make that system feel obvious.
You have strong taste. You notice when an interface feels confusing, inconsistent, slow, generic, or unnecessary, and you know how to improve it.
You think from the user’s perspective. Skarmy is for founders, students, creators, operators, and non-technical people. The product must feel approachable without sacrificing power.
You move quickly. You can go from a rough idea to a testable prototype without waiting for perfect requirements.
You have high agency. You identify problems, propose solutions, and push the work forward without waiting for permission.
You are unusually good at something. Maybe you redesigned a frustrating product, built a design system from scratch, created an interface people loved, developed a distinct visual style, or made something your friends actually use.
Bonus
You have designed AI products, agent interfaces, productivity tools, or complex workflow products.
You are highly proficient with Figma and interactive prototyping.
You have experience with motion design, user research, or design systems.
You understand HTML, CSS, React, or frontend implementation.
You have built products for founders or non-technical users.
How We Work
We work five to six days a week at the office.
We go out, decompress, and are human. We love concerts, KBBQ, founder dinners, and strange experiments.
The rest of the time, we are building.
By applying, you agree to sign up for Skarmy.
