Creator-in-Residence
Metabolic Skincare | Remote (US) | Paid monthly stipend | Ongoing, flexible hours
How to apply
Send links to your accounts - private is okay, we’ll request to follow. Instagram, TikTok, whatever you actually use. That is the main thing we are looking at.
A resume is welcome if you have one ready but is secondary to your actual social.
One ask: look at @metabolicskincare first. If you have a thought about what you would do differently, lead with that.
The short version
We are looking for one person to become the face of Metabolic Skincare.
Not a content intern who edits other people's clips. Not an ambassador who posts a discount code twice a semester. One person, on camera, making the content this brand runs on. We put money, coaching, creative direction, and product behind you, and we grow your own following while you do it. You bring a face people want to keep watching.
Why this role exists
People do not get attached to logos. They get attached to people.
Someone who has watched you three times a week for six months trusts you in a way an ad account cannot buy. That trust is what actually moves a product like ours. So the strategy is not a campaign. It is a person worth keeping up with.
Most of what you make runs on our channels with you in it. If it makes sense, we can try white labeling ads through your account to help build your following.
Who we are
Metabolic Skincare makes Deep Structural Support, a skincare supplement.
The premise: your skin is a readout of what is happening inside your body, and most of what people spend on topicals treats the surface of a problem that starts deeper. We just think the inside of your skin has been ignored, and there is a real body of peer-reviewed research saying so. We would rather point you at the studies than talk around them.
We are small. One product, a founder, and a business that is growing. Your work ships the week you make it, and you will see exactly what it did.
Before you apply, go look at @metabolicskincare on Instagram. If this is not something you would want your face attached to then that’s okay, but this probably isn’t the right role.
The unorthodox part
Most internships hand you a brief. This one starts with a question: where does this brand actually line up with you?
We have a few directions in mind and no attachment to which one wins.
- Lifestyle. The brand lives inside your actual life. Mornings, food, where you are, who you are with. The product sits in the frame without being the point of every frame.
- Science. You go deep on skin. What collagen fragmentation is, why the topical treadmill underdelivers, what the research says and where it stops. You become someone people follow because you explain things well.
- Fitness and wellness. The supplement slots into a full stack alongside training, food, sleep, and recovery. This works if you are already the person your friends text before they buy something.
Realistically it ends up a blend, weighted toward whatever is already true about you. We figure that out together in the first few weeks, then commit to it hard.
What you get
- A monthly stipend. Paid, not "exposure."
- Coaching. As much or as little as you need. Direct, one on one, on camera presence, hooks, pacing, writing for short form, and reading your own analytics.
- Creative direction. Concepts, scripts, hooks, and reference material. You will not be staring at a blank page wondering what to post.
- Product. Free and ongoing, plus whatever you need to shoot.
- Ad spend behind your own account. The work is for us. We are also willing to put budget behind your handle to grow your following, because an audience that knows you makes everything else work better.
- A portfolio and a number. You leave with a real body of work, a bigger following, and specific results you can point to. That combination is rare coming out of school.
What you would actually do
- Make content for Metabolic Skincare, consistently, with you on camera.
- Shoot on your phone - no fancy set up needed.
- Join a weekly call to review what worked, what did not, and what is next.
- Read the numbers with us. You will learn the difference between a video that felt good and a video that performed.
- Reply to comments and DMs in your own voice.
Who this is for
- You are comfortable on camera.
- You already post something, somewhere.
- Skin, health, fitness, food, or research genuinely interests you.
- You want to see how this industry works from the inside, including the unglamorous parts.
Logistics
- Remote, anywhere in the US.
- Ongoing, no fixed end date. If it is working, it keeps going.
- Flexible hours, scheduled around your class load.
- Paid monthly stipend.
