Student Assistant
The School of Civic Life and Leadership (SCiLL) seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Student Assistant to support the school's fundraising and parent engagement efforts. Working closely with the chief development officer, you will gain hands-on experience in higher education fundraising, donor relations, event planning, communications, and prospect research while contributing to SCiLL's mission of fostering civil discourse, leadership, and civic education.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and executing donor, alumni, and special events.
- Conduct prospect and donor research using public sources and university resources.
- Prepare donor and event briefing materials.
- Assist with drafting and designing email communications, and other stewardship materials.
- Pull and organize reports from the University's constituent relationship management (CRM) system.
- Help maintain accurate donor and prospect records.
- Provide administrative support for fundraising projects, meetings, and special initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the development office.

- Draft thank you notes
- Provide campus tours

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Dependable and committed to working scheduled hours.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or graphic design is a plus.
- Office or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
