Athletic Trainer - Slam Boca

Athletic Trainer: Starting at $50, 000

SLAM Boca Raton is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and student-centered Athletic Trainer to support the health, safety, and performance of our student athletes. At SLAM, athletics are an integral part of our mission, and we are looking for an individual who is passionate about injury prevention, rehabilitation, and helping students achieve success both on and off the field.

The Athletic Trainer will work collaboratively with school administration, coaches, parents, physicians, and student-athletes to provide comprehensive athletic healthcare services for all school-sponsored athletic programs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide athletic training services for middle and high school student-athletes.
  • Evaluate athletic injuries and determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide immediate care and emergency response for athletic injuries during practices and games.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
  • Maintain accurate injury documentation and treatment records.
  • Monitor student-athletes returning from injury and implement return-to-play protocols.
  • Assist with physical examinations and athletic eligibility requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, district, FHSAA, and school athletic policies.
  • Attend home athletic events and assigned away competitions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training (Master's degree preferred).
  • Current Florida Athletic Trainer License (or eligibility to obtain).
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends during athletic seasons.
  • Experience working in a middle or high school athletic setting.
  • Knowledge of FHSAA rules and regulations.
