Are you a compassionate and experienced mental health professional or registered nurse looking for a flexible, impactful role? Monarch NC is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Mobile Crisis Team in Pittsboro, NC. This position offers the opportunity to make a real difference—providing timely crisis intervention and support to individuals in need.

Work Schedule:

• 40 hours per week. 
• 3 possible rotating shifts (9am-5pm; 10am-6pm; 11am-7pm) and rotating on-call coverage required for weeknights and weekends.

What You’ll Do:

As a Mobile Crisis Professional, you’ll respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide short-term crisis planning and coordination. Your goal: to de-escalate situations, stabilize individuals, and promote safety. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting face-to-face or phone assessments
• Facilitating behavioral interventions and crisis planning
• Coordinating hospital or respite placements
• Recommending further interventions or follow-up care
• Supporting involuntary commitment processes when necessary

Who We’re Looking For:

You must meet one of the following qualifications:

Qualified Professional (QP) as defined by 10A NCAC 27G .0104:

• Bachelor’s (non-Human Services) + 4 years full-time or 8 years part-time experience, OR
• Bachelor’s (Human Services) + 2 years full-time or 4 years part-time experience, OR
• Master’s (Human Services) + 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time experience.

Registered Nurse (RN):

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Active NC RN license
• Minimum 4 years of experience with mental health/substance use populations
