Associate Infant Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Infant Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. Key Responsibilities

1. Supporting the Lead Teacher & Classroom Management

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
• Help create a structured, stimulating, and faith-based learning environment.
• Work as a team with Lead Teacher and other staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Follow classroom routines and schedules to maintain consistency for children.

2. Child Supervision & Safety

• Ensure children are supervised at all times and maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios.
• Assist in maintaining a sage, clean and organized classroom environment.
• Conduct daily health checks and follow sanitation guidelines.
• Help with diapering, toileting, and other personal care needs as required.
• Follow emergency procedures and respond appropriately to any incidents.

3. Attendance & Dependability

• Arrive on time and ready to work every day.
• Adhere to the center's attendance policy, notifying the director in advance of any absences.
• Understand that reliability is crucial in providing a stable and structured learning environment for children.

4. Creating a Loving & Nurturing Environment

• Provide warm, patient, and encouraging interactions with children.
• Foster a sense of belonging and emotional security for each child.
• Use positive reinforcement and redirection to support children's emotional and social development.
• Engage with children through active play, reading and conversations.

5. Communication & Professionalism

• Maintain open and respectful communication with Lead Teacher, staff and families.
• Assist in preparing daily reports for parents regarding children's activities and progress.
• Be a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism, respect and teamwork.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs and actively participate in classroom and outdoor activities.
• Must be able to stand, sit, kneel and bend throughout the day.
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Required Childcare Experience

• Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a minimum of one year of classroom management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, curriculum development, literacy education, and behavior management techniques.
• Experience working with students who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families and team members.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, lesson planning tools, and teaching physical education activities.
• Certification or credential in early childhood education or related field preferred or actively pursuing certification and/or related degree; Montessori certification is a plus.
• Ability to create an engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth.
