Full-Stack Software Engineer Intern

Our young, fast-growing company is searching for skilled CSSE students to join our team of full-stack development interns in Auburn. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world web and mobile application development skills while pursuing your degree.

This position will work around 15 hours per week for the Fall 2026 - Spring 2027 year, hybrid from our office in the New Venture Accelerator on Auburn’s campus. The primary skills required for this position are React, Typescript, and LLM-driven development.

The ideal candidate for this role is not necessarily the best pure programmer, but someone who is native to ai-driven development and product-minded. You will gain valuable hands-on experience building features for our web and mobile applications.

 

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React, Typescript, Tailwind, shadcn
  • Backend: Node.js, Typescript, Firebase, Meilisearch, Hono
  • DevOps: Git, GitHub, Linear, Hetzner Cloud, GitHub Actions

Key Responsibilities

  • Create clean, responsive component-based user interfaces with React, Typescript, Tailwind
  • Develop and maintain our API endpoints and server jobs with Node.js and Typescript
  • Use Firebase to store and access real-time nosql data
  • Use Git for version control and collaborative development
  • Participate in code reviews and pull requests with GitHub
  • Track tasks and contribute to sprint planning using Linear
  • Work in Linux server environments for development and deployment tasks

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of JavaScript and web development fundamentals
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Previous exposure to React and Typescript
  • Previous experience building production applications in a full-stack environment
  • Familiarity with Firebase or other cloud platforms
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira
  • Basic Linux command-line knowledge
  • Understanding of web and mobile app development concepts

Compensation Package

  • 1099 contract
