Position Summary (PTA Level 1)
As a Level One PTA at Davis PTSR, you support the delivery of high‑performance, patient‑centered care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will implement treatment interventions, reinforce patient education, utilize clinic technology, and uphold Davis documentation and communication standards. This role is ideal for a PTA eager to grow, collaborate, and master The Davis Way.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical & Technical Skills
- Carry out delegated treatments within Davis PTSR’s 4‑Phase Rehab Model following the supervising PT’s plan of care.
- Implement Davis clinical non‑negotiables appropriately for a PTA role (e.g., dynamic warm‑ups, McKenzie‑based exercises as directed, 2‑week/2–3 visit progressions).
- Use clinic technology (Prediction Health AI, Prompt EMR, DorsaVi, QuickBoard, Proteus, Blaze Pods, AlterG, BFR) within PTA scope and under PT guidance.
- Monitor patient response, modify exercises as appropriate within scope, and communicate all significant changes to the supervising PT.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized treatment environment.
2. Documentation Excellence
- Complete accurate, concise, and timely documentation following Davis Documentation Guidelines.
- Use standardized abbreviations and formulas as required by Davis PTSR.
- Document “Better / Worse / Same (BWS)” and highlight patient changes clearly to support PT decision‑making.
- Communicate progress, barriers, and red flags clearly in written and verbal formats.
3. Soft Skills & Intangibles
- Build genuine rapport using empathy, education reinforcement, and patient advocacy.
- Collaborate proactively with PTs, aides, and clinic leadership to maintain smooth flow.
- Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset in all interactions.
- Participate in mentoring, huddles, and Davis PTSR community activities.
