Fayette Christian School is seeking a Christ-centered, visionary leader to serve as our next Principal. This individual will provide spiritual, instructional, and administrative leadership for our PK4–12 school while partnering with our faculty, families, School Board, and Fayette Bible Church to fulfill our mission of providing a distinctly Christian education.

Fayette Christian School is a PK4–12, chartered non-public Christian school located in Washington Court House, Ohio. As a ministry of Fayette Bible Church, our mission is to partner with parents to provide a quality Christian education for the glory of God. Position Summary

The Principal serves as the chief instructional and administrative leader of Fayette Christian School. Reporting directly to the School Board, the Principal is responsible for advancing the school's mission by providing servant leadership, fostering spiritual growth, promoting academic excellence, supporting faculty development, strengthening relationships with families, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school.

Key Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership

  • Model a vibrant and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Cultivate a Christ-centered culture throughout the school.
  • Provide biblical leadership for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Lead faculty devotions, school chapels, and other spiritual initiatives.
  • Integrate a biblical worldview into all aspects of school life.
  • Encourage spiritual growth through discipleship, prayer, and Christlike leadership.

Instructional Leadership

  • Provide leadership for the PK4–12 academic program.
  • Promote excellence in curriculum, instruction, and student achievement.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate faculty.
  • Support professional development and instructional improvement.
  • Foster continuous school improvement and innovation while remaining grounded in biblical principles.

Administrative Leadership

  • Oversee the daily operation of the school.
  • Supervise and support faculty and staff.
  • Partner with the School Board in strategic planning and policy implementation.
  • Oversee student discipline in a manner that reflects biblical principles and school policy.
  • Assist in budget planning and responsible stewardship of school resources.
  • Coordinate school operations, calendars, and major events.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable educational standards and school policies.

Community Leadership

  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, faculty, alumni, donors, and the local community.
  • Represent Fayette Christian School with professionalism and Christlike character.
  • Support student recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts.
  • Promote the mission and vision of Fayette Christian School throughout the community.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ and a consistent Christian walk.
  • A calling to Christian education and servant leadership.
  • Agreement with the Statement of Faith, mission, philosophy, and guiding principles of Fayette Christian School.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (master's degree and/or educational administration training preferred).
  • Appropriate Ohio educator licensure or the ability to obtain required administrative credentials.
  • A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated educational leadership experience (administrative experience preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • The ability to mentor faculty, engage families, and lead collaboratively.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and the thoughtful use of educational technology.
  • Successful completion of required background checks.
