The GE HealthCare Financial Management Program (FMP) Internship is a 10-12-week summer program designed to provide challenging financial projects and assignments as well as offer broad exposure to various finance functions within GE HealthCare. We are looking for high potential, driven students with a passion for finance and technical excellence.

At GE HealthCare, our FMP Internship offers a dynamic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop technical and leadership skills, and contribute to innovations that improve lives around the world.  
  

The Finance Management Program (FMP) Internship is a 10–12 week summer experience designed to provide high-potential students with exposure to corporate finance at GE HealthCare. Interns work on meaningful projects across key finance functions while building business acumen and professional skills.  

FMP Interns are assigned a high-impact project in one of the following areas:  

Commercial Finance – Partner with commercial teams to drive growth and profitability  

Supply Chain Finance – Support manufacturing and operations through cost analysis and planning  

Controllership – Ensure financial integrity through compliance, reporting, and controls  

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) – Deliver insights that guide strategic decision-making  

Product Finance – Partners with product, engineering, and business teams to drive financial strategy, performance, and decision‑making for the product portfolio 

 

Additional opportunities may include Investor Relations, Treasury, Internal Audit and Business Development  
  

Interns collaborate with cross-functional teams, present their work to program and business leaders, and gain exposure to GE HealthCare’s finance culture and career pathways.  
  

Responsibilities  

Contribute to a key finance project that supports business goals and builds technical and leadership capabilities  

Partner with business teams to understand project objectives and develop a plan to deliver results  

Own day-to-day execution of the project with guidance from an Assignment Leader  

Present outcomes and key learnings to stakeholders and program leadership  

  

Basic Qualifications  

Current undergraduate Sophomore or Junior (expected graduation between December 2027 and May 2028)  

Enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university  

Majoring in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field  

Available to work full-time for 10–12 weeks during Summer 2027  

Willing and able to relocate to Chicago, IL for the summer (relocation stipend and corporate housing provided)  

Able to work within a hybrid setting  
  

Preferred Qualifications  

Demonstrated interest in a corporate finance career  

Strong academic performance in finance, accounting, or business-related coursework demonstrated by a GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), though all applicants are encouraged to apply     

Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills  

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment  

Initiative, adaptability, and a growth mindset
