Bilingual Legal Receptionist Administrative Assistant

Immigration law firm is seeking a fully bilingual (English/Spanish), motivated, dependable, and professional individual to join our team as a part-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. The position is approximately 16–24 hours per week and offers the opportunity to grow within the firm based on performance, initiative, and demonstrated ability.

The ideal candidate is punctual, organized, detail-oriented, friendly, efficient, and self-driven, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, exercises good judgment, maintains professionalism and confidentiality, and is comfortable working independently while contributing to a team environment.

Prior law firm experience is not required. We value professionalism, reliability, integrity, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting clients and visitors professionally
  • Answering, screening, and routing incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system
  • Scheduling appointments and coordinating client communications
  • Receiving and routing mail, deliveries, and hand-delivered documents
  • Scanning, photocopying, organizing, and filing documents
  • Performing data entry and maintaining accurate records
  • Drafting routine correspondence
  • Assisting attorneys and legal staff with administrative tasks and projects
  • Maintaining the reception area, conference room, and other client-facing areas in a professional and organized condition
  • Monitoring and ordering office supplies
  • Taking on progressively more complex administrative and legal-support responsibilities based on performance, ability, and demonstrated judgment

Qualifications

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional and courteous demeanor with clients and colleagues
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
  • Willingness to learn and ability to accept and apply feedback
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook is strongly preferred

Schedule, Compensation & Growth

This is a part-time position of approximately 16–24 hours per week.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour. A performance review will be conducted after 90 days, with the potential for an increase to $18.00 per hour based on performance, reliability, professionalism, and demonstrated ability to take on additional responsibilities.

This position provides hands-on experience in a professional immigration law practice and the opportunity to develop into more advanced administrative and legal-support responsibilities over time.
