Position Summary
Our client is seeking a motivated RF Test Engineer to support the testing, validation, and deployment of advanced RF and 5G communication systems. This role is ideal for early-career engineers looking to gain hands-on experience with next-generation wireless technologies while contributing to mission-critical programs.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and deployment teams to evaluate system performance, execute test procedures, and support field integration activities. Approximately 30-45% travel is required to support customer site deployments and validation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute RF and 5G system testing using industry-standard laboratory equipment and procedures.
- Follow test plans, collect performance data, analyze results, and document findings.
- Support system integration, troubleshooting, and validation activities alongside senior engineers.
- Assist with laboratory setup, equipment calibration, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare clear and accurate test reports, technical documentation, and performance summaries.
- Participate in field testing, system deployments, and customer site validation efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
- 0-3 years of experience in RF, electronics, telecommunications, or related engineering fields.
- Internship, academic project, or hands-on experience involving wireless communications, RF systems, or electronics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Chantilly, Virginia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using RF test equipment such as:
- Spectrum Analyzers
- Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs)
- Signal Generators
- Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or scripting languages for test automation and data analysis.
- Exposure to Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms and wireless communication systems.
- Understanding of 4G/5G technologies and RF fundamentals.
- Interest in embedded systems, AI-enabled technologies, or advanced wireless networking.
