Position Summary

Kid Health and Well-Being Emporium (KHWE) is seeking an energetic college student to portray STAR™, one of the lead characters in our interactive Healthy Lungs Venture™ educational performances for young children.

STAR™ serves as the children's guide, helping create a fun, welcoming, and high-energy learning experience while encouraging audience participation through movement, imagination, and healthy living.

Responsibilities

  • Perform as STAR™ during live educational presentations.
  • Welcome and engage children through movement and interactive activities.
  • Help invite children to become volunteers during the performance.
  • Assist the facilitator throughout the presentation.
  • Encourage participation through singing, movement, cheering, and imaginative play.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive environment for children ages 5–8.
  • Represent KHWE professionally at schools, libraries, community centers, and special events.

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Female
  • 16–21 years old
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Outgoing and energetic
  • Comfortable performing in front of groups
  • Enjoys working with young children
  • Positive and encouraging
  • Reliable and professional
  • Willing to learn interactive educational theatre

No previous professional acting experience is required. Enthusiasm, reliability, and a love for working with children are more important.
