Employment Specialist / Job Coach

Location: Various Tennessee Locations (Knoxville, Nashville, Murfreesboro, Morristown, Newport, Johnson City, Crossville & surrounding areas)

Job Responsibilities

As an Employment Specialist / Job Coach, you will:

  • Support individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining competitive employment.
  • Provide one-on-one job coaching at community job sites.
  • Assist individuals in developing workplace, communication, and independent living skills.
  • Build positive relationships with local employers and community partners.
  • Monitor job performance and provide ongoing support as needed.
  • Document services accurately and complete required reports on time.
  • Collaborate with families, employers, support coordinators, and other professionals.
  • Promote independence while respecting each individual's goals and choices.
  • Travel within your assigned service area to provide community-based services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass required background screenings.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in community settings.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a DSP, Job Coach, Case Manager, Teacher, Behavioral Health Technician, Social Worker, Vocational Rehabilitation professional, or related human services role.
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • ACRE or CESP certification is a plus (training opportunities may be available).
