Hebrew School Teacher

 

Congregation Bet Haverim in Davis, CA is looking for Hebrew teachers for our sweet and joyful Wednesday afternoon Hebrew School, which meets from 2-4pm on our campus, which is located within biking distance of the UC Davis campus. Our school serves children in 3rd-6th Grades. The first day of class is September 30. 

 

Hebrew School teachers are responsible for creating engaging lesson plans that are in line with our established curriculum, which focuses on helping students learn the Alef Bet, become fluid Hebrew readers, and learn basic synagogue prayers like the Barechu, Shema, V’Ahavta, and the Amidah, among others. Teachers should be familiar with these prayers, and be able to read and write Hebrew. Being able to speak Hebrew is a bonus but not a requirement.
