HR Specialist 

Organization: Radiation Cancer Compensation (RCC) — a mission-driven company helping families claim the federal compensation they are owed for radiation-caused cancer before a hard 2027 deadline. We are growing fast and building an internship program that will power the whole mission.

The role in one line: Help us recruit our people, onboard them, keep the team running, and create the systems that make it all work.

What you will do:

• Recruit and source people. Post roles, search for talent, screen and shortlist candidates for every RCC intern seat.
• - Onboard and train. Run new interns through our onboarding, training materials, and sign-off so they hit the ground running.
• - Coordinate the group, track hours and deliverables, run check-ins, and keep our people organized.
• - Build the HR systems. Create the trackers, playbooks, and simple processes that let the program run itself as it scales.

What you will learn:

• Real recruiting and talent sourcing from posting to hire
• - People operations and how to onboard and manage a team
• - How to build the systems behind it, working directly with the founders
• - HR skills you can put on a resume and actually point to

Who we are looking for:

• Organized, people-oriented, and a genuine self-starter who makes things run
• - A strong communicator who is comfortable talking to candidates and coordinating a team
• - Someone who likes building systems and structure out of chaos
• - Majors we love: human resources, business, organizational behavior, management, communications, psychology. All majors welcome if the skills fit.

The details:

• Unpaid internship, eligible for academic credit. We will work with your school and provide learning outcomes and a named supervisor.
• - 20 hours per week, flexible schedule.
• - Fully remote, anywhere in the United States.
