Childream LLC is looking for a patient, creative, and responsible Art & Hands-On Project Instructor to work with children, teens, and young adults in individualized or small-group enrichment sessions.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching beginner-friendly art, crafts, and hands-on projects. Drawing and painting experience is strongly preferred, but we also welcome candidates with skills in other creative activities such as watercolor, crayon drawing, acrylic painting, embroidery, knitting, crochet, paper crafts, building projects, model-making, LEGO-style projects, or other hands-on activities.
Our goal is to help students build creativity, confidence, fine motor skills, attention, patience, problem-solving, and independent project completion through fun and structured art-based activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead 1:1 or small-group art and hands-on project sessions
- Teach beginner-friendly drawing, painting, crafts, or building activities
- Prepare simple, engaging projects based on each student’s age, ability level, and interests
- Break down projects into clear, step-by-step instructions
- Support students with focus, patience, creativity, and task completion
- Create a calm, positive, and encouraging learning environment
- Communicate with the Program Coordinator about student progress
- Complete brief session notes after each class
Qualifications
- Drawing, painting, or visual art experience strongly preferred
- Experience with hands-on projects, crafts, embroidery, knitting, crochet, building, or other creative activities is a plus
- Experience working with children or young adults preferred
- Experience working with students with special needs, autism, ADHD, developmental needs, or learning differences is strongly preferred
- Patient, flexible, reliable, and comfortable adapting activities for different learners
- Able to provide clear instructions and encourage students throughout the project
- Art, education, child development, psychology, occupational therapy, special education, or related background is a plus

This role is a good fit for art students, art teachers, education majors, occupational therapy students, recreation instructors, or anyone with strong creative skills and experience supporting children.
Schedule
Part-time, flexible schedule. Weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends may be available depending on family needs.
