League & Events Intern

Utah Youth Soccer is the leader is promoting, developing and governing youth soccer in Utah. We strive to provide fun, competitive, and engaging opportunities for our youth soccer players. 

Our internship program is designed to give students hands-on experience in the youth sports industry. This Fall 2026, we are seeking an intern to support our Youth Gaming League Department with league operations while also assisting our Events Department with tournament operations and special events, including our Awards Gala in November. Additional responsibilities may vary based on seasonal programming and organizational needs.

This internship provides students with hands-on sport management experience in a fast-paced, real-world environment while exposing them to the many areas that contribute to the success of a youth sports organization. Interns will have exposure to areas such as operations, event management, and marketing. Throughout the internship, students will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and build valuable skills that will prepare them for a career in the sports industry.

A sampling of tasks and projects includes:

·    Assisting Youth League Commissioner with day to day league operations

·    Reviewing Red Card Reports and Game/Referee Reports

·    Assisting with UYSA Tournaments and Events

·    General Office Duties and assignments

·    Special Assignments as tasked

Hours: Current opening is part time (20-25 hours) but can be discussed further for the right candidate. Office hours are Monday through Friday with some weekends/evenings based on event schedule. 

Qualifications:

·    Great communication and customer service skills

·    Detail oriented and organized

·    Self-starter

·    Able to lift at least 30-40 lbs.

·    Soccer experience is a plus but not required
