Marketing Intern

Marketing Intern (Year-Round, Path to Full-Time)

We're building the largest physician-focused tax company in the country, growing faster than anyone in this space. This role sits inside the marketing team and touches everything: what we publish, what we spend, and whether the growth engine actually compounds. Read the whole post before applying.

This is not make-a-mood-board-and-watch. You'll be publishing real content under our name, running real campaigns with real budgets behind them, and owning numbers that leadership actually looks at. Real deadlines, real consequences, with the Marketing Manager beside you and modern AI tooling at your back. The pace is fast and the standard is high. You'll learn more here in a few months than in a year anywhere else, because we hand you real responsibility and expect you to rise to it. Hard on purpose. If that sounds like too much, this is the wrong post.

We need an absolute ninja. Someone who comes in, learns how the marketing engine actually works, and takes ownership of pieces of it with due time.

You'll do

Content and channels

  • Write across everything we publish: blog posts, emails, landing pages, social content, campaign copy. What you write goes live.
  • Support SEO research, format and optimize blog content, and build and maintain website pages.
  • Schedule and publish across our social channels, then track what performs and say why.
  • Engage physician conversations across forums, social platforms, and the communities where our audience already spends time. You'll be speaking as the firm, so precision matters.
  • Build graphics and marketing assets to support campaigns across channels.

Campaigns and operations

  • Email: build and proof campaigns before they go out, manage list segmentation, and catch the typo before ten thousand physicians see it.
  • Paid media: support campaign assets, pull performance data, and track results against goals.
  • Partnerships: track deliverables across partner programs and keep co-branded content moving. Nobody chases you; you chase them.
  • Events and webinars: promotional assets, registration pages, post-event follow-up.
  • Analytics: keep tracking and attribution clean, build regular performance reports, and dig into what's working and what isn't. When a number looks wrong, find out why before someone asks.
  • Research: track competitors and market trends, and surface what's worth acting on.
  • Growth projects: help launch channels and platforms we don't have yet.
  • Use AI and automation so your reps go to judgment, not busywork.

Who this is for

The sharpest person in your program. Learns fast, works hard without being told twice, energized by a heavy workload. Three things we care about most:

Writing. You write clean, tight copy that doesn't need a rewrite before it ships. You know the difference between words that fill space and words that move someone. Be ready to show a writing sample or write something on the spot.

Detail. Marketing looks polished or sloppy based entirely on the small things: the broken link, the wrong UTM, the subject line that renders badly on mobile. You catch these before they go out, not after.

Numbers and follow-through. You think in steps and notice when something doesn't add up. A campaign's attribution is off, a partner deliverable is nine days late, two reports disagree on last month's leads. You catch it and say something instead of moving on.

And be honest with yourself about the manual work. A lot of this is scheduling, formatting, data cleanup, and tracking spreadsheets. It is not always interesting. It still has to be right, because everything downstream depends on it. If tedious-but-important work drains you, this is not the right seat.

This is not for anyone who needs hand-holding or wants a comfortable lane.

Boundary on scope: anything carrying real brand or spend exposure (budget decisions, public statements on tax positions, partner commitments) is yours to prepare and the Marketing Manager's to decide. You will never be left holding that alone.

The path: Perform and you convert to full-time, then keep climbing. Earned, not given.

Selection: We screen hard. Very few who apply are selected. If you're the right person, that should make you want this more.
