Water Distribution Worker I/II

Grow your career in water operations and help keep your community's essential infrastructure running safely and efficiently. As a Water Distribution Worker I or II, you will perform a variety of tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of water distribution systems and facilities. You will also be responsible for operating light and moderately heavy power-driven equipment, assist in installing and repairing mains, valves, hydrants and meters. This job requires physical labor such as lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions. Minimum Qualifications

Water Distribution Worker I 

Experience and Training

Experience:

No experience is required; some general maintenance and/or construction experience is preferred.

AND

Training:

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade, GED, or higher level degree.

License or Certificate 

Possession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointment.

Possession of a valid California Class B driver’s license with a Tanker Endorsement within twelve months of appointment. 

Possession of a California Department of Public Health Water Distribution Operator Grade 1 (D1) certificate within twelve months of appointment. 

Water Distribution Worker II

Experience and Training

Experience:

Two years of increasingly responsible experience performing field maintenance work similar to that of a Water Distribution Worker I with the City of Roseville.

AND

Training:

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade, GED, or higher level degree.

License or Certificate

Possession of a valid California Class B driver’s license with a Tanker Endorsement by date of appointment. 

Possession of a California State Water Resources Control Board Water Distribution Operator Grade 2 (D2) certificate by date of appointment.
