Data Coordinator
About the Opportunity
The North Carolina Democratic Party (NCDP) is seeking a Data Coordinator for the 2026 Coordinated Campaign.
The Data Coordinator will support the statewide data program, building and leveraging data tools, analytics, and reporting processes that power the campaign’s organizing, voter contact, and voter access programs. The Data Coordinator will work alongside the data team to independently execute projects, support cross-departmental collaboration, and ensure high-quality, actionable data is available for key stakeholders. This is a full-time position based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with travel as needed. This position reports to the Deputy Data Director.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Support the data team in designing and implementing the campaign’s statewide data program, including analytics, reporting, and targeting.
● Build and maintain automated and ad-hoc reports alongside the data team to evaluate organizing, volunteer recruitment, and voter contact programs.
● Work closely with campaign departments to collect, analyze, and escalate actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
● Administer, develop training, integrate best practices, and create documentation for NGP VAN as well as other volunteer and voter contact tools.
● Analyze program metrics and escalate findings and recommendations for campaign leadership.
● Respond quickly & effectively to data support requests and resolve issues with products or tools.
● Ensure data quality, maintain pipelines, and troubleshoot issues to guarantee smooth operations across campaign programs.
● Collaborate with Organizing, Impact, Voter Access, Communications, and Political departments to integrate data insights into program execution.
● Manage Data Fellows or Interns.
● Perform other duties as assigned by the Data Director and Deputy Data Directors.
Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience
● 1+ years of analytics or data work
● Experience with Votebuilder/VAN, Excel, and Google Sheets
● Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
● Strong organizational and strategic thinking skills
● Registered Democrat
Preferred Skills, Abilities, and Experience
● Experience in campaign work
● SQL experience, particularly using Google BigQuery
● Experience analyzing large datasets using coding languages, specifically R or Python
● Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Shiny)
Classification
Exempt (not eligible for overtime pay); temporary position; not a bargaining unit position.
The final date of employment will be 11/15/2026.
Salary & Benefits
The pay range is $57,000 annually or $4,750 per month.
Employees receive paid holidays, paid sick leave, and various other forms of paid leave.
