Facility Operations Lead Recreation
Position Type: Federal Work Study And Non Work Study
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The Facility Operations Lead serves as the primary student operational leader within the Whitty Student Fitness Center during assigned shifts.
- Primary Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Lead opening and closing procedures and overall daily facility operations
- Ensure facility spaces remain clean, organized, safe, stocked, and operational through regular walkthroughs and inspections
- Serve as the lead student staff member during assigned shifts by supporting staff accountability, shift delegation, and operational task completion
- Ensure staff and patrons follow facility policies, safety standards, and operational expectations and assist with incident response and emergency situations
- Track and report facility concerns and incidents to professional staff
- Other duties as assigned.

- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and work effectively within a team environment and make responsible decisions
- Ability to manage multiple operational responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to remain composed during high-traffic or challenging situations
