Cloud and Middleware Validation Engineer

Summary

Work closely with experienced professionals to apply knowledge of cloud, middleware, and DevOps practices in real-world automotive software environments. Under supervision, the Automotive Cloud & Middleware Validation Engineer will support team members in validation, automation, and deployment tasks, contributing to the delivery of reliable and scalable backend systems. This role offers hands-on experience across system-level testing, cloud application support, and modern DevOps pipelines, providing an excellent foundation for a successful career in automotive and software engineering.

 

Responsibilities

  •  Review, analyze, and enhance existing test cases to ensure completeness, accuracy, and maintainability for automotive cloud and middleware solutions.
  • Validate that all functional requirements and use-case scenarios are comprehensively covered by test cases.
  • Identify gaps in test coverage and propose or define additional test scenarios.
  • Update and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, integration, and deployment in cloud-based and middleware setups.
  • Perform log analysis to assist with troubleshooting and support root cause identification for issues encountered during testing or deployment.
  • Track, manage, and follow up on defects through closure using standard tools and processes.
  • Support system-level and end-to-end testing of new and existing automotive features.
  • Ensure proper validation of integrated systems prior to release, including documentation and defect tracking throughout testing cycles.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to promote system readiness and successful release outcomes.
  • Build and manage containerized applications using Docker, optimizing performance in these environments.
  • Support DevOps practices for continuous delivery and deployment of automotive platforms.
  • (Optional/Good to Have) Test and validate cloud-based solutions, infrastructure, and applications, working with platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • (Optional/Good to Have) Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, compliance, and high performance.
  • (Optional/Good to Have) Contribute to the development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance cloud-native automotive applications.


Qualifications

  • MSEE, MSCS, or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud systems, or quality engineering.
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience in backend cloud development and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in: C, C#, .NET/.NET Core, Angular, HTML5, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience with ROS, LINUX, REST APIs, MQTT, and DDS Communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of containerization using Docker and supporting DevOps/CI-CD workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus.
  • Additional preferred qualifications include experience with big data and data science, network programming and management, and understanding of the .NET framework.
  • Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
