Content Creator Intern

Content Creator & Social Media Intern (Part-Time)

Help Launch the Future of Consumer Shipping

Are you passionate about creating videos, social media, and digital content? Want to gain real startup experience while helping launch a new mobile app?

MobiShip is looking for a creative and motivated Content Creator & Social Media Intern to help build our brand from the ground up. You'll work directly with the founder—a former USPS, ShipStation, and GlobalPost executive with more than 25 years of experience in the shipping and logistics industry—to create engaging content that introduces consumers to a simpler way to ship packages.

If you enjoy making videos, designing graphics, and telling stories through social media, we'd love to meet you.

About MobiShip

MobiShip is a mobile-first shipping app that makes shipping simple. Instead of dealing with printers, shipping stores, scales, and measuring tapes, users can create, purchase, and manage shipments directly from their phone.

Our mission is to make shipping effortless by removing the complexity, time, and barriers that prevent people from sending packages.

What You'll Do

Working directly with the founder, you'll help create and publish engaging content across multiple social media platforms.

Responsibilities include:

  • Film short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Edit videos using CapCut or similar editing software.
  • Design graphics using Canva or Adobe Express.
  • Help plan and schedule weekly social media content.
  • Write engaging captions and social posts.
  • Create product demonstrations and educational videos.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes startup content.
  • Research current social media trends and content ideas.
  • Monitor engagement and prepare a brief weekly performance summary.
  • Brainstorm creative campaign ideas to grow the MobiShip brand.

What We're Looking For

We're less interested in your resume and more interested in your creativity.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Current enrollment in a college or university (Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Film, Graphic Design, or related field preferred).
  • Experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.
  • Basic video editing experience (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Canva or other graphic design tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivation, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • An interest in startups, entrepreneurship, or technology.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Managed or grown a social media account.
  • Photography or videography experience.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT for brainstorming or content creation.

Position Details

  • Part-time: 8–10 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule around classes
  • Hybrid or remote, with occasional in-person content sessions if local
  • Paid hourly ($18–$22/hour, based on experience)
  • Opportunity for additional hours during product launches and marketing campaigns

What You'll Gain

This internship offers the opportunity to work directly with a startup founder and make a visible impact on a growing company.

You'll gain hands-on experience in:

  • Social media marketing
  • Content strategy
  • Short-form video production
  • Startup branding
  • Mobile app marketing
  • AI-assisted content creation
  • Entrepreneurship and product launches

Unlike many internships, your work won't be filing paperwork or sitting in meetings—you'll help shape how a new consumer brand is introduced to the world.

Success Looks Like

Each week, you'll help produce:

  • 5–8 short-form videos
  • 4 social media posts
  • 1–2 promotional graphics
  • A simple weekly analytics summary highlighting what performed best

If you're excited about building something from the ground up and want your work to have a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
