Overview:
This New Jersey farm is a side project that we are working on, providing interns with the opportunity to support the financial and strategic planning of a real agricultural venture. ULimo is seeking analytical Agricultural Economics Interns to support projects involving commodity markets, farm finance, agricultural policy, risk management, and business strategy. Interns will analyze economic factors that influence farm operations and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
This internship provides practical experience in agricultural finance, market analysis, strategic planning, and economic research within a growing startup environment. Interns will gain valuable insight into how financial and policy decisions impact modern agriculture.
Responsibilities:
- Research commodity markets and agricultural trends.
- Assist with farm financial planning and budgeting.
- Analyze production costs and profitability.
- Research agricultural policies and regulations.
- Support risk management initiatives.
- Prepare financial reports and economic analyses.
- Assist with forecasting and market research.
- Evaluate business strategies for agricultural operations.
- Collaborate on projects involving farm economics and long-term planning.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Finance, Agribusiness, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Interest in agricultural markets, finance, and farm business strategy.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or financial analysis tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
