Overview:
This New Jersey farm is a side project that we are working on, allowing interns to contribute to sustainable farming and land management initiatives. ULimo is seeking research-oriented Soil Science Interns to support projects involving soil health, fertility management, water conservation, and sustainable land management. Interns will help evaluate soil conditions and recommend practices that improve agricultural productivity while protecting natural resources.
This internship provides hands-on experience analyzing soil quality, conservation practices, and environmental sustainability initiatives. Interns will gain practical knowledge of how soil management directly impacts successful farming operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with soil sampling and analysis.
- Research soil fertility management techniques.
- Support water conservation initiatives.
- Analyze soil health data.
- Research erosion prevention strategies.
- Assist with sustainability projects.
- Prepare reports on soil conditions.
- Monitor environmental impacts on farmland.
- Collaborate on long-term soil improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Natural Resources, or a related field.
- Interest in soil health, conservation, and sustainable agriculture.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Ability to interpret scientific data and prepare reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
