Overview:

This New Jersey farm is a side project that we are working on, providing interns with opportunities to apply engineering concepts to active agricultural projects. ULimo is seeking innovative Agricultural Engineering Interns to assist with projects involving farm machinery, irrigation systems, robotics, precision agriculture, drones, and equipment optimization. Interns will explore engineering solutions that improve efficiency, automation, and sustainability within modern farming operations.

This internship provides hands-on experience evaluating agricultural equipment, designing operational improvements, and researching emerging technologies that support precision farming. Interns will collaborate on projects that combine engineering principles with real-world agricultural applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Research agricultural machinery and equipment.
  • Assist with irrigation system planning and evaluation.
  • Support precision agriculture technology initiatives.
  • Research robotics and automation solutions.
  • Analyze equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Assist with agricultural drone projects.
  • Help identify engineering improvements for farm operations.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate on innovative engineering solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Interest in farm equipment, automation, robotics, and precision agriculture.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Experience with CAD software, programming, or engineering design tools is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
