Overview:
This New Jersey farm is a side project that we are working on, giving interns the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a growing horticultural operation. ULimo is seeking enthusiastic Horticulture Interns to support projects involving fruit and vegetable production, greenhouse management, nurseries, and landscape plant cultivation. Interns will help research and apply best practices that promote healthy plant growth and sustainable horticultural operations.
This internship provides practical experience in plant cultivation, greenhouse operations, crop maintenance, and sustainable growing techniques. Interns will gain valuable knowledge while contributing to projects that support long-term agricultural success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with greenhouse and nursery operations.
- Research fruit and vegetable production techniques.
- Monitor plant growth and health.
- Support irrigation and plant maintenance projects.
- Research pest and disease management strategies.
- Assist with landscape and planting projects.
- Collect horticultural data and observations.
- Help develop sustainable growing practices.
- Prepare reports on horticultural initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agricultural Science, Botany, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Interest in plant cultivation, greenhouse management, and sustainable growing practices.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
