Overview: 

This New Jersey farm is a side project that we are working on, giving interns the opportunity to apply agronomic principles within an active agricultural project. ULimo is seeking detail-oriented Agronomy Interns to assist with projects focused on crop production, soil fertility, irrigation systems, sustainable agriculture, and precision farming. Interns will help evaluate methods that maximize crop yields while improving long-term soil health and environmental sustainability.

This internship provides practical experience in modern agronomic practices through research, field planning, and data analysis. Interns will learn how science and technology are combined to improve agricultural productivity while supporting sustainable farming operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with crop planning and field management.
  • Research soil fertility improvement methods.
  • Evaluate irrigation and water management practices.
  • Support sustainable agriculture initiatives.
  • Analyze crop performance and field conditions.
  • Assist with precision farming projects.
  • Collect and organize agronomic data.
  • Research best practices for maximizing crop yields.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Science, Soil Science, or a related field.
  • Interest in crop management, irrigation, and sustainable farming.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on agricultural projects.
