Operations Intern

Operations Intern (Year-Round, Path to Full-Time)

We're building the largest physician-focused tax company in the country, growing faster than anyone in this space. This internship is how we find the people who run our operations for the long haul. Read the whole post before applying.

This is not coffee-and-shadowing. You'll be in the middle of how the firm actually runs: talking to real physician clients, moving them through onboarding, keeping our boards clean, and making sure entity and vendor orders get placed and land. Real deadlines that matter to real businesses, with someone experienced beside you and modern AI tooling at your back. The pace is fast and the standard is high. You'll learn more here in a few months than in a year anywhere else, because we hand you real responsibility and expect you to rise to it. Hard on purpose. If that sounds like too much, this is the wrong post.

We need an absolute ninja. Someone who comes in, learns how the machine works, and takes ownership of pieces of it with due time.

You'll do

  • Client follow-up. Chase down what we need, answer what you can, keep clients moving. You'll be writing to physicians directly, so the writing has to be clean.
  • Client onboarding. Run new clients through our process end to end and make sure nothing falls through.
  • Monday boards. Keep them accurate and current. Statuses, owners, dates, subitems. If the board is wrong, the firm is flying blind.
  • Data management and cleanup. Fixing records, reconciling lists, catching what doesn't match. Some of this is genuinely tedious. It still has to be right.
  • Entity orders with vendors. Place them, track them, follow up until the documents are in hand.
  • Use AI and automation so your reps go to judgment, not busywork.

Who this is for

The sharpest person in your program. Learns fast, works hard without being told twice, energized by a heavy workload. Two things we care about most:

Communication. You can write a clear, professional message to a physician client without it needing a rewrite. You follow up without being asked. You don't go quiet when something is stuck.

Logic. You think in steps and notice when something doesn't add up. Two numbers don't reconcile, a client's answer contradicts what's on the board, a vendor order is sitting three days too long. You catch it and say something instead of moving on.

And you have to be honest with yourself about the manual work. Not every task here is interesting. Cleaning a list of 400 records is boring and it still matters, because everything downstream depends on it being clean. If tedious-but-important work drains you, this is not the right seat.

This is not for anyone who needs hand-holding or wants a comfortable lane.

The path: Perform and you convert to full-time, then keep climbing. Earned, not given.

Selection: We screen hard. Very few who apply are selected. If you're the right person, that should make you want this more.
