DESCRIPTION:
An established worldwide film distributor located east of downtown Los Angeles, specializing in independent films, is looking for an awesome, energetic, and resourceful person to handle technical delivery to streaming platforms and distributors worldwide. You will be responsible from rights management, regular pitching, file preparation, to on-boarding. Ideal candidate should be a great at multitasking and comfortable working in a small busy office environment -- in a team or independently. You will also be the company's liaison between licensors/content partners and platforms/distributors worldwide. Attention to detail, high accuracy, and ability to handle confidential matters are very critical. This position is hand-on, needs an above average computer skills and editing skills. Being technical with FCP (and Gamer-skills are a definite plus).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Work with video, audio, images, and other assets; verify assets meet quality and integrity requirements; ensure assets conform to technical specifications. Organize, track and manage assets according to company procedures.
§ Communicate with content owners and be liaison between internal team and external content owners/film producers, platforms, as well as outside vendors and labs, to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverable.
§ Maintain online branding and message standards, ensure timeliness of delivery.
REQUIREMENTS:
§ College degree preferred (some college with equivalent experience acceptable), in film, media, marketing, communications, or related field with strong research skills.
§ Software: FinalCutPro (required) , Photoshop, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), will need to utilize proprietary CMS and delivery system, and AI technology to edit and create conforming deliverable assets, and generate metadata with high accuracy.
§ You must have a 'can-do' attitude, the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issue, and to help improve current working process.
§ Highly organized, accurate and detail-oriented with all your activities. (If you have a lot of files saving on your desktop or need other people to double check your typos, this is not your type of job.)
§ Passion for films and articulating in film elements and various genres of independent films, and strong interest in learning about film distribution from a macro point-of-view.
§ Personable with a professional demeanor interfacing different personalities externally; ethical and able to handle confidential matters.
§ Some understand and skills in social media marketing will be considered a plus but not required (youtube, Facebook, Instagam, etc).
