Family Programs Internship

This fall the family programs intern will conduct research for programs related to new exhibitions (You Should Be Dancing: New York, 1976 and Beyond, etc.) and special programming (Halloween, Thanksgiving Eve, etc.) as well as compile a gallery observation report for our current Democracy Matters exhibition. As an integral member of our Family Programs team, they will assist with marketing; administrative tasks; preparing materials for programs; and staffing a variety of other family programs for The New York Historical and DiMenna Children’s History Museum. By the end of the internship, the intern will have gained experience with researching, developing, and delivering out-of-school-time programs for a variety of family audiences. We require excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to projects.

Please note, this will be a hybrid internship. There will be regularly scheduled weekday hours that may be worked remotely or on-site at the Museum as well as some in-person weekend hours to assist with scheduled family programs.
