We are seeking an experienced Project Manager and Grants Management Implementation Specialist to provide expert guidance and hands-on support in designing and implementing grant management systems and business processes. In this role, you will lead the rollout of a pilot platform, align workflows with federal uniform guidance standards, and help transition full grant activity to the new system.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Implementation: Lead and support the implementation of a pilot Grant Management platform, preparing for agency-wide migration.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the primary SME on grant management practices and federal uniform standards.
  • Workflow & Process Design: Partner with internal SMEs to analyze existing grant lifecycle processes and design efficient workflows within the new software.
  • Operational Efficiency: Advise on best practices for grant applications, review, contract agreements, grantee claims/invoices, accounting, and reporting.
  • Compliance & Oversight: Assess and establish protocols for monitoring grant expenditures, identifying inactivity, and managing grant close-outs.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop comprehensive training materials, process workflow diagrams, and field dictionaries to support system adoption.
  • Governance: Document key decision points, obtain formal approvals, and draft or update official policies and procedures.
  • Project Tracking: Provide weekly status updates, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks or issues.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading or advising on grant management software implementations.
  • Deep knowledge of the end-of-end grant lifecycle, including federal uniform guidance standards.
  • Strong business analysis and process mapping skills (developing process flows, documentation, and policy drafting).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities in a hybrid work environment.

  • Extensive experience implementing and managing enterprise-grade grants management software Required - 10 Years
  • Experience in or working with public sector/government (local, federal or state) Required - 5 Years
  • Experience in grant accounting, budgeting, and reporting Required - 10 Years
