As the Volunteer & Resource Development Coordinator, you'll work behind the scenes to create lasting improvements that expand volunteer engagement, strengthen community partnerships, and improve the clinic's ability to serve patients for years to come.

About The Crossing Medical Clinic

As an AmeriCorps VISTA member, you'll help create sustainable systems that increase the clinic's capacity to serve more patients and strengthen its long-term impact.

What You'll Do

Build a Sustainable Volunteer Program

  • Design and improve volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and training systems.
  • Develop volunteer handbooks, role descriptions, and orientation materials.
  • Create volunteer scheduling, communication, and recognition processes.
  • Build tracking systems to monitor volunteer engagement, hours, and retention.
  • Strengthen partnerships with local colleges, businesses, and community organizations to expand volunteer opportunities.

Improve Clinic Operations

  • Evaluate clinic workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Develop standardized policies, procedures, and resource guides.
  • Create organizational tools, templates, and process documentation.
  • Improve inventory management and supply tracking systems.
  • Develop training materials that support long-term organizational sustainability.

Strengthen Resource & Data Management

  • Develop systems for tracking donated supplies and in-kind contributions.
  • Improve data collection, reporting, and record management processes.
  • Create dashboards and tracking tools that support informed decision-making.
  • Assist with long-term planning by organizing operational and resource data.

Expand Community Engagement

  • Create communication materials that highlight volunteer opportunities and clinic resource needs.
  • Support outreach efforts that strengthen partnerships with local organizations and businesses.
  • Develop sustainable strategies to increase community awareness and engagement.
  • Assist in creating systems that support future fundraising and donor stewardship efforts.
