Chemist I
Russell Tobin is hiring a Chemist I to join our client's manufacturing team.
We are offering a 1-year contract opportunity for science graduates looking to build their careers in a fast-paced production environment. Join a collaborative team where you'll support quality assurance, food safety, process improvement, and laboratory operations while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform quality testing to ensure products meet customer, quality, and food safety standards.
- Analyze laboratory and production data to identify trends and support process improvements.
- Conduct specialized testing, troubleshooting, and corrective actions for manufacturing processes.
- Support audits, equipment calibration, training, and quality documentation.
- Approve final production batches and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or another science-related field required.
- Laboratory or quality experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
Important Details:
- Employment Type: 1-year Contract opportunity.
- Schedule/Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM), alternating between days and nights every 4 weeks on a 2-2-3 schedule.
- Location: 100% On-site.
- Pay Range: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience).
