Position Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and caring individuals who have a passion for working with young children. This position is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Psychology, Special Education, Human Development, Social Work, or related fields to gain valuable hands-on experience in a licensed childcare setting.

Assistant Teachers work alongside Lead Teachers to create a positive classroom environment while supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest time.
• Support children's social-emotional growth through positive guidance.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization according to health and safety standards.
• Follow Pennsylvania childcare licensing regulations and center policies.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure quality care and education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Current enrollment in or completion of a college program related to Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with children is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, positive, and eager to learn.
• Must be able to obtain all required Pennsylvania clearances and complete required onboarding training.
