Elementary EC Teacher

Princeville Elementary School, part of Edgecombe County Public Schools, is seeking a full-time Elementary Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher to join our team, starting at the beginning of the upcoming school year.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support for elementary students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • - Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to implement IEP goals
  • - Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction as needed
  • - Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations and timelines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required (does not have to be in education)
  • - NC teaching license in Exceptional Children preferred; lateral entry candidates are encouraged to apply
  • - Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Compensation: Salary is based on the NC teacher pay scale.
