We are a locally owned sporting goods store specializing in both new and used sporting equipment. We serve athletes and families throughout our community and are growing our online presence through e-commerce, Google Shopping, and social media. We're looking for someone creative, organized, and self-motivated to help us grow our digital business.
Position Summary
We're seeking a Part-Time Marketing & E-Commerce Coordinator to manage our online presence and help drive sales through social media, our website, Google Shopping, and online marketplaces.
The ideal candidate enjoys creating engaging content, has experience with digital marketing, and is comfortable photographing products, writing product descriptions, and managing online inventory.
Responsibilities
Social Media Marketing
- Develop and execute a social media content calendar.
- Create engaging posts, reels, stories, and short videos.
- Photograph and video merchandise in-store.
- Respond to comments and messages.
- Grow followers and increase customer engagement.
- Promote seasonal sales, new arrivals, trade-in events, and community activities.
- Coordinate giveaways and promotional campaigns.
E-Commerce Management
- List new and used products on our website.
- Write compelling product descriptions.
- Upload product photos and specifications.
- Ensure pricing and inventory remain accurate.
- Organize product categories and collections.
- Monitor website performance and make merchandising improvements.
Google Shopping & Digital Advertising
- Manage Google Merchant Center.
- Maintain Google Shopping product feeds.
- Monitor product approvals and resolve listing issues.
- Assist with Google Ads campaigns.
- Improve product visibility and online traffic.
- Track campaign performance and ROI.
Marketing & Promotions
- Create email marketing campaigns.
- Design promotional graphics and flyers.
- Help plan seasonal marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate promotions around sports seasons and holidays.
- Assist with in-store events and community partnerships.
Analytics
- Monitor website traffic.
- Track social media growth.
- Report monthly marketing metrics.
- Recommend new strategies to increase online sales.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience managing business social media accounts
- Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Experience with e-commerce platforms
- Familiarity with Google Merchant Center and Google Shopping
- Basic knowledge of Google Ads
- Experience using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar design software
- Strong photography and video editing skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
Bonus Qualifications
- Passion for sports and sporting goods
- Knowledge of baseball, softball, football, soccer, golf, or outdoor equipment
- Experience selling on eBay or other online marketplaces
- SEO experience
- Basic graphic design experience

Within the first 90 days, you'll:
- Publish consistent social media content several times each week.
