Finance Intern - Fall 2026

Hoboken Grace Community Church is looking for a part-time intern for our Finance Department. The individual will work directly with our Operations Team to ensure books and records are complete and accurate. 

This position is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in accounting or finance who seek to gain valuable hands-on experience in a nonprofit environment. The candidate must be able to work on-site in Hoboken,  NJ, and must be eligible to work in the United States. 

QUALIFICATIONS  

● Must have introductory knowledge of basic accounting principles 

● Must have familiarity with financial statements 

● Must be comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets 

● Must be detail and task-oriented 

● Must be able to multitask and balance multiple projects 

● Must be able to work on-site  

RESPONSIBILITIES  

● Inputting month-end journal entries 

● Reviewing expense submissions to ensure policies are followed 

● Completing accounts payable requests 

● Reconciling accounts 

SCHEDULE  

● September 16 - December 11, 2026 

● Part-time, 15 - 20 hours per week, depending on the candidate 

COMPENSATION PACKAGE  

● $500 stipend at the end of the internship
