We are seeking a motivated and independent individual to serve as a Research Assessor (GS-7) on a VA funded research project focusing on suicide prevention. This is a full-time position. The study is conducted in inpatient psychiatric settings at both the Ann Arbor VA Hospital and the Battle Creek VA Medical Center and is funded through 2029. This position will be for recruitment, assessment, and intervention delivery onsite at the Battle Creek VAMC. The VA clinical trial will test the effectiveness of a brief app-based intervention (that you would help deliver) for reducing suicide risk following hospital discharge.

The successful candidate will work in an exciting environment which provides support for professional growth activities, opportunities to connect and collaborate with other research interventionists, and research teams within the VA and the University of Michigan. Notably, the position involves work that has a real impact on patients’ lives.
