QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
 Associate’s Degree in Radiography Technology from an accredited college or university.
 Experience:
o Two (2) years’ experience as a full-time radiologic technologist working in various imaging
environments in a hospital.
o Be competent in the field served by the academic program or area of concentration.
o Proficient in supervision, instruction and evaluation of program students
 Certification or Licensure:
o A current Texas Medical Board (TMB) and General Medical Radiologic Technologists (GMRT)
certificate.
o A current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification registration.
 Experience with office equipment & Microsoft Office products such as Word & Excel; customer service
skills; experience searching the Internet or databases.
Preferred:
 Proficient with Google Workspace tools (ex. Docs, Sheets, and Drive to create, share, and manage work).

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position will report to the Dean of Health Careers and the Radiography Program Director for job
responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential
duties include but are not limited to the following:
 Serve as the clinical instructor for the assigned area of radiography, providing instruction, supervision, and
evaluation of students.
 Perform assigned clinical instruction and related responsibilities while maintaining a part-time workload of up
to nineteen and a half (19.5) hours per week during the Fall and Spring sixteen (16)-week semesters and the
Summer I six (6)-week semester.
 Prepares student clinical rotation schedules.
 Perform all clinical instructor duties.
 Understands and appropriately applies program policies and procedures.
 Understands the clinical objectives, evaluation system, and evaluating students’ clinical competence.
 Prepares clinical student clinical evaluations.
 Maintains student clinical records documenting attendance, competency forms, evaluations, and grades.
 Completes in-service training as required by the college and/or clinical site.
 Assists with onboarding of students to clinical sites.
 Maintains documentation of required immunizations, annual TB test, AHA BLS CPR for Healthcare Providers,
and any other required shots to enter the clinical sites.
 Maintains continuing education requirements to renew applicable licenses or certifications.
 Consults with clinical coordinators and program director as needed.
 Foster an engaging, supportive, and challenging learning environment in classrooms, laboratories, and shops.
 Teach assigned course sections according to the College Catalog description, the syllabus, and the schedule of
classes.
 Conduct learning assessments and implement improvements based on the analysis of the results as directed.
 Maintain appropriate order and control of instructional settings to ensure a productive and engaging learning
environment.
 Report disruptive or inappropriate student behavior to the Executive Director of Student Affairs as necessary
for the administration of the Student Conduct and Discipline Program (see: FLB Local).
 Appropriately exercise the authority to direct students who exhibit disruptive or inappropriate behavior to leave
the instructional setting immediately.
 At the beginning of each semester, distribute appropriate course information to students in each class according
to the instructional arrangements policy (see: EC Regulation).
 Emphasize to students the importance of prompt, regular, and continuous class attendance according to the
admission and attendance policy (see: FBD Regulation).
 Maintain accurate attendance and academic records of students enrolled in assigned course sections according
to the grading and credit policy and procedures (see: EGA Regulation).
 Submit semester class rolls, final class rolls, final grades, and grade book records to the Registrar’s Office
according to the directives of the Office.
 Provide regular and appropriate feedback to students enrolled in assigned course sections to help them gauge
their academic performance and their acquisition of course content.
 Develop and proctor all examinations administered in assigned course sections.
 Appropriately refer students to the Executive Director of Student Affairs for personal, health, or other issues.
 Provide accommodations to students with disabilities as directed by Student Affairs.
 Execute assigned course sections in accordance with the approved course syllabi.

 Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning by completing all required training, compliance courses, and
professional development activities promptly and within established deadlines.
CONTRACT & SALARY:
$25.00/hour. Proof of identify and eligibility to work in the United States must be verified for the successful
candidate.
