As a Veterinary Medical Officer, you will:

  • Serve as a field veterinary medical officer providing veterinary and public health expertise on surveillance systems, outbreak response planning, data collection, training, field research, and related projects for zoonotic disease prevention and control.
  • Collaborate with national and international partners (USDA, USAID, WHO, FAO, etc.) to promote One Health and build joint programs addressing human-animal-ecosystem health.
  • Work with program managers, policymakers, and experts to improve rigor of zoonotic public health research; applies research methodology; authors manuscripts; provides outbreak support globally.
