School-Based Physical Therapist

Position Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Independent Contractor (1099)
Location: Montgomery County and surrounding counties, Pennsylvania

Children's Therapy Consultants is seeking a compassionate, motivated Physical Therapist to join our growing team of school-based clinicians. Whether you are a new graduate or an experienced therapist, we provide mentorship, collaboration, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students while enjoying flexibility and work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Conduct initial evaluations, re-evaluations, screenings, and write comprehensive evaluation reports.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
  • Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and annual progress reports in a timely manner.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers.
  • Consult with school personnel regarding classroom accommodations, adaptive equipment, mobility, positioning, and accessibility.
  • Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district regulations.
  • Support students in achieving educational and functional goals within the school environment.

Required

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapy License (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred

  • School-based pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
  • New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Mentorship and support are available.

  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance (Act 34)
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
  • Any additional school district employment requirements
